As I understand it, the Blue Man Group started years ago
when some guys wondered what it would be like if aliens landed on Earth and the
only work they could get was entertainment. I've never seen them, outside of
commercials, and had NO idea what to expect. I spent 90 minutes totally
enthralled. They are a rock group, with high energy and a fun outlook (unlike
so much heavy metal). The Blue Men are basically percussionists and they
percuss anything within reach – PVC pipe, sideways piano, drums. And their
piece, Exhibit 13, brought a tear to these eyes! Lots of humor, lots of good
energy, lots of fun. And lots of different. (I must admit, I love Taiko drums,
so an evening of good drumming is always a way to my heart ;-)
